Tai Chi Seminar, November 2009
This free seminar is held on a monthly basis. Traditional Moo Doe is principally a healing art that combines ancient movements, techniques and herbal therapies to balance Oom and Yung - mind and body. The workshop introduces Tai Chi chung movements that can reduce stress, increase memory and concentration, increase chi and improve circulation, leading to good health, longevity and an overall better quality of life.
All children were invited to this free workshop which taught the knowlege and awareness of important safety measures necessary for a fun and safe holiday. The San Diego Police Department gave a special guest presentation that included Halloween safety treats. Family and friends were also treated to a martial arts demonstration by our Oom Yung Doe students.
A free self defense workshop is held every month to teach women the SHOCK, SCREAM and RUN method to defend yourself, your family and friends. The Techniques utilize a woman's natural strengths and abilities. Students will also learn breathing exercises to lessen stress and increase your chi (energy).

World Tai Chi Day, 2006
World Tai Chi Day was celebrated with a free lesson as described by the article, "Find your peace of the tai chi pie", in the Watertown TAB & Press, Watertown, MA. In the article, now Head Instructor of the San Diego school, Maurice Vera, explains that, while the art form helps to implement self-defense techniques, the "movement of the form allows you to move with more power in a way that goes beyond normal exercise."
